How to Watch Live Streams?

Frequently Asked Questions

First of all, please take a look on our responses to the frequently asked questions on our FAQ page.

General Information

On the event broadcast page, you will find links through which you can watch the broadcasts. Links are split into two main blocks:
  1. Streams directly viewable in browser - in order to watch the stream you can use any browser that supports Adobe Flash.
  2. Streams viewable using external software - in order to open these streams you have to install an additional freeware (download links are displayed below).

Live streams are displayed as follow:

  1. The Program is the software (freeware) that you need in order to view the stream. Some streams require specific software, such as SopCast, TorretStream and others. If you click on this icon, a page will open where you will find the full manual for the program and download links.
  2. The bitrate represents the rate of the stream in kilobits per second. The higher the bitrate, the higher the quality of the stream. However, it is possible that streams with lower bitrate will be more fluent than those with a higher one.
  3. Stream rating is a mean rating of a given stream by our users. In order to rate a stream you need to be register for free on LiveTV. If you already have an account, please click on the plus or the minus in order to rate the stream.
  4. The play button gives you direct access to the broadcast. After pushing this button, a window of the specific program will open automatically and the broadcast will start shortly after that. Please note, that the program must be installed first.

 –  By clicking on this icon, you will watch the stream directly using the external software. The software has to be installed in order to watch the stream.

Software

We suggest you to install first of all SopCast since it is currently the most used software.

SopCast Windows, MacOS, Android, iOS
Torrent Stream Windows
VLC Player Windows, MacOS, Linux

Traffic Question

You can watch all streams on our website free of charge. However, if you have to pay separately for traffic, additional fees may be charged by your internet service provider. You can calculate the approximate traffic consumption as follow:

Megabytes_per_hour = Bitrate / 8 * 60 * 60 / 1024

or easier:

Megabytes_per_hour = Bitrate / 2.28

where the bitrate is given in kilobits per second.

Please note that this is only the incoming traffic calculation. The outgoing traffic can vary from one stream to another.
